the second temps catapult upward, i can't imagine wearing anything but blossoms. and these days, emulating nature & crafting my own. oh and... stopping to smell the gardenias, before the florida sun burns them up.

on the sound front: my ears happily exploded yesterday en route to jamba juice when hipster runoff played lo-fi-funk's track, city. had never heard it, despite the fact that their album, boylife, came out in '06. swedes get electronic right. dig it too? get the mp3 here.

today's the 1st day i'm wearing shorts this year. to work. i love doing this. it feels like cheating. and it inspires me to accessorize to the hilt so as to pull off the somewhat blasé casualness of it all. snatched a floral sash tie off an old
skirt of mine to contrast the floral tunic i was wearing. then dug up an ancient boston proper necklace & a target necklace for icing. cardie is from anthropologie, it has delicious golden Lurex running through it. oh yeah, and my major steve madden golden heels, which provoked the above comment. about being careful. how could he forget we ride race cars and dance on fire?

being a fashion pack rat
pays off once again
acquired this vibrant, embellished dress a thousand years ago from boston proper. and i loved it so much, i bought it even though it was one size too big(my size was sold out). today, am mad glad i did. and that i kept it all these years. i still #LOVE it & it fits perfectly right now thanks to, well, you know... thought you'd just love seeing me wearing it ages ago, hanging out with queens in key west.

p.s. this song has been on the brain. perhaps because when it 1st came into my consciousness, i WAS young, like REALLY young... but now, i get it. and adore the track even more... Alphaville's Forever Young (1984)
