#LOVE from brighton... Lights & Offerings. MIRRORS.
you haven't acquired their album yet? do.
80s renaissance, analog synth heavy, electronic depth. or... pop noir as they refer to themselves. i don't want to pick a track or two i adore. i feel the whole release. the music is gorgeous and melodic; the vocals are quality and haunting. thank you, england, for continuing to put out bands that achieve permanence amongst my somewhat snotty list of perfect sound.
#LOVE from miami... was fortunate enough to attend the pret a porter showcase at miami beach international fashion week featuring boston proper amongst other eye-popping designers like LUXXE Collections-USA, Mariela Allaix-Argentina, Marina Makaron Moscow and Bata Spasojevic, winner of the MBIFW designer competition at Banja Luka Fashion Fair in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
#LOVE from H&M. they called this a top; i call it a dress. and the ruffles front & back make me feel normal again. ;-)

mirrors = #love.
the band is from brighton, england. they're no doubt inspired by early '80s synth pop &
there's definitely something white lies about them, but with far more electronic tangents.
i dig. check out mirrors' new vid for "Into the Heart":

was magnetically drawn to the leggings i wore today,
they're like art—gold burnished & distressed. +they reminded me so much of many super skinny shiny pants shown at spring '11 fashion weeks across the planet.
paired them to this smart little plaid jacket
i got at a boston proper sample sale. quintessentially fall.
and am listening to:
mirrors. a moody electronic-driven band from brighton, england. that label themselves pop noir. which i effing love. they feel something like white lies. or 7th grade. perhaps even earlier, totally new wave 80s. modern english-ish? i believe they're touring with 80s loves, OMD. which is mad apropos. get their EP, 'ways to an end' (which doesn't include 'look at me' the track of theirs that originally attracted me.) on itunes if you feel melodic retro synths and drum machine beats. listen loud and dance like you did back then, or only wish you had.
